40th Anniversary Gala Raises $600,000

Our 40th Anniversary Good Neighbor Gala on May 8th at the United Nations was a successful and memorable event. We were joined by over 300 guests and raised $600,000 in support of our work. (On the fundraising front, that’s our best ever Gala!)

Some highlights of an inclusive, engaging and fun event were:

An inspiring address from our Featured Speaker Ivan Šimonović, UN Assistant Secretary-General for Human Rights
A speech by Leticia Rodriguez, who spoke from the heart about what it’s meant to be a CA tenant for the last 20+ years
A speech by Olivia Moishe, who shared her inspiring journey from homelessness to graduating Howie the Harp and helping others as a peer worker
Introducing CA to many new friends and supporters - and sharing the evening with many longstanding friends, as well

Our community of supporters is strong and growing. As we strive to protect the rights of all people to lead independent, dignified lives in our community, I continue to be very thankful for the hundreds of special people who make that work possible, including our board of directors, sponsors, donors, and staff.
