Supported Education

For people living with mental health concerns, Blueprint Supported Education promotes education as a key element of empowerment, wellness, and personal fulfillment.

At Blueprint we ask participants to define for themselves a satisfying life, with meaning and purpose. From there we explore what role education can play in creating that vision, and begin the work of matching barriers with supports and strengths. One-on-one support is provided in the following areas:

  • Assistance with school admissions and financial planning
  • Course registration, program transitions, and planned withdrawals
  • Skill development in studying, note taking, time and stress management
  • Advocating for accommodations and exploring disclosure options
  • Connecting with other students, campus life, and navigating social environments

Blueprint provides services to adults 18 years and older who live in New York City and have a history of mental health conditions. We have a special focus on individuals who have had involvement in the criminal justice system (but this is not a requirement for services).
