Benefits of the HTH ACE Program

Job search on your terms A critical component of ACE is your choices and decisions are what drives the job obtainment process. You only apply for employment that interests you.

Supportive Peer - Identified Staff HTH is a peer-led and run program of Community Access Inc. All staff understand the various concerns people in mental health recovery face when seeking and retaining employment.

Integrate job search process with your treatment team We welcome partnership with your treatment team and supports to ensure successful job obtainment and retention. We know working as a team to achieve your employment goals increases your chances of job satisfaction.

Job Maintenance Support Our career coaches will connect with you regularly to help you assess how you are doing on the job, identify any other needed supports and offer advocacy coaching if needed on the job.

In order to get the most of the ACE program we suggest that you:

  • Be able to work right away. Since program participation is up to 2 years maximum, its best to make the most of that enrollment time fully engaged in the pursuit and retention of employment. If you have outstanding medical procedures, personal priorities or lack skills/education needed to obtain the job of your choice, its best to get those issues in order before enrolling.

  • Have the skills, knowledge and other qualifications that your job of choice requires. For instance, if the job you seek requires driving, you should already have a driver’s license.

  • Be fully engaged in the employment search process. The services are designed to support your full participation in the job search and retention. The more effort you put into the process, the better our services can support your success.

Also, once you’ve started working and approach the end of the two year program we also request 4 consecutive paystubs as confirmation of your employment success.
