We Did It! (See You Again Next Year)

Who'd have guessed? It turns out that organizing from scratch - and then promoting - a charity 5K run, 1 mile walk, and block party takes a fair bit of doing. (Not to mention about eight different permits from multiple different agencies....)

The main thing to say about Community Access' first Race for Our Community now, though, is it's done and we did it! And here, roughly speaking, is how: lots of people worked very hard for a long time, and then lots more people got behind the event to make it both a super fun day out and a big success on the fundraising front, as well ($85,000 raised so far, and counting!). Including close to 100 volunteers who worked tirelessly pre-event, behind the scenes, and on 'Race Day' itself to keep a whole train-load of 'to-dos' on track and on time.

To everyone who took part in the Race for Our Community, and to those of you who wanted to but couldn't: we'll see you next year for an event that will be even better and bigger still! In the meantime, please take a moment to:
